Jersey Boat Show 2010

The Jersey Boat Show, in association with Barclays Wealth, is a great opportunity to get a real flavour of the sea.

Taking place on 1 - 3 May, in and around St Helier marina, the Show will tantalise taste buds with the fishy sights and smells of the new Fisherman's Village. Famous, genuine Jersey produce will be on offer and there's even a chance to go oriental with a new sushi bar.

To get a taste of life on the ocean waves visitors can head to the "Condor Get on Board" pontoons with a wide variety of boats to clamber aboard - the 79 metre Fisheries Protection vessel, HMS Mersey; the Tall Ship, Lord Nelson; the Port of Jersey tug, Duke of Normandy and two of the Navy's training vessels, HMS Tracker and Trumpeter.

For a peek at life under the waves a new feature of the Show offers the chance to 'Try a Dive', with Dive Jersey and Florida Pools.

For a musical taste of the sea visitors will be treated to the world famous Beat Retreat by the Band of her Majesty's Royal Marines. The band will also be joining young musicians from Jersey in a Gala Concert at Jersey's Opera House.

For those looking to continue to savour the pleasures of boating the marina will be a floating showroom of boats, both power and sail. On the land visitors will find a unique marine shopping experience.
